About the event
Join Heartland and Heart Fire Sanctuary in a contemplative adventure and service project in the Steens Mountain Region. We will be supporting the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) by photographing and geo-tagging wildlife and maintaining a section of trail in the area, as well as taking time to explore and experience the backcountry in one of Oregon's the wildest areas.
About ONDA: (www.onda.org)
"Oregon Natural Desert Association encourages people to get to know the desert and take steps to conserve these public lands. ONDA is a non-profit organization that defends public lands from threats, partners with public and private land managers to preserve natural values, encourages the exploration of wild places, and restores lands and waters to give desert wildlife safe habitat in which to thrive."
About Heart Fire Sanctuary: (www.heartfiresanctuary.org)
"Heart Fire Sanctuary embraces your innate wisdom. By honoring transformative ceremonies, conducting immersive wilderness experiences, providing hands-on creative workshops, and encouraging sustainable living arts... we can remember who we truly are. And, only then, can we clearly imagine a new paradigm into being."
